Intro

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Java Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role requires strong technical skills in Java backend development. The ideal candidate will also possess effective communication skills in German at a B2 level to collaborate with our German-speaking clients and partners.

Key responsibilites

Design and implement scalable and robust backend services and systems in Java for automotive applications.
Collaborate closely with front-end developers, product managers, and designers to integrate systems and enhance user experiences.
Develop and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code.
Ensure the best possible performance and quality of applications.
Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.
Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the automotive industry.

Required qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
At least 4 years of professional experience in Java backend development, in the automotive industry is a plus.
Proficient in German (B2 level) with strong communication skills.
Extensive experience with Java, Java EE, and Java-based frameworks like Spring.
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
Knowledge of database management systems, both SQL and NoSQL.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent collaboration and team-working skills.

Key responsibilites

Required qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, with a proven track record of successful projects.
Expertise in multiple programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#, JavaScript).
Experience with modern frameworks and platforms (e.g., React, Angular, .NET, Spring).
Strong understanding of database management, both SQL and NoSQL.
Familiarity with DevOps tools and methodologies, including continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
